E & B Helicopters An auxiliary Honda engine powers the tree topper. The pilot presses and releases a switch to control the hydraulic cutting head. In about six seconds, the blade cuts tops up to nine inches in diameter. It allows a production of up to 150 trees an hour depending on the site.
